"Abby's" is just a
title for a beautiful name - that happens to be the name of my daughter. The
name "Abby" immediately invokes several possibilities: the
first is my daughter - who bears the same name, Abigail; the second is from the
Bible - "Abigail" became one of King David's wives; and lastly is the
column...because of the name, of course. But there are many who
share that name.
Taking on the possibility of other "Abby's" in the world, the storybook (posted above) draws on these famous people (by first name "Abby") and begins the effort of elaborating on their words. I have purposely included some quotes for my own daughter whom, again, bears the same name.
What's
in a name; or more specifically, was is in "ABBY'S"? Well, as
with most of these writing ventures, the anticipation - and answer to the
question - is half the reason for beginning in the first place. Life has
it's uncertainties; why shouldn't the words of another too?
