During the years that I was privileged to be a part of my children's lives, playgrounds were front-in-center part of our experience; and one day, I decided to write a letter about many (not all) of the playgrounds we visited or frequented. A 14 year old has lost the zeal for the playground - but he once thoroughly enjoyed them; and this letter is for the once-boy that did! |

“About
my Family and Name” is far from a genealogy or similar research; it is
simply a collection of
F
amily Photos supplemented with narrative.
Credit
for this collection (of photos) has to be given to my parents – who have
been so vigilant about taking and maintaining these wonderful memories.
As always, a picture is the initial inspiration, and these photos
have been no less.
How often such pictures – especially the older ones – get overlooked or forgotten; how little I realized that I knew about the people in these pictures…either relying on faint childhood memories or a story here and there.
The benefit has been to rekindle some memories while building on others; it has been my deep pleasure to put this collection together and to add a small part to a still much-lacking base of understanding and appreciation to the people who have made and do make such a difference.
