A Season of Fall

Fall is a beautiful time of the year - with all the foliage in full splendor and the air turning cool; but what about other descriptions of the fall? |

"And
if one falls down, the other helps; but if there's no one to help, tough!" - Ecclesiastes

Within the family of For a Time & Season, "A Season of Fall" uses my favorite season to add some color to what can be a rather bleak outlook; or, to present a season of fall of a different sort.
Besides the name for a season (of nature), "fall" can occur as: to stumble and drop such as to take a fall; or it may not apply to the physical body, but to something else like the fall (or collapse) of a nation; and finally, it may apply - with a stretch - to a faltering in our lives...a setback, loss, failure or similar.
With the signal of the season - as branches display their beauty of change - comes some similarity between a physical fall and the "faltering" that occurs in life: change can be beautiful - even in the midst of some death or dormancy - while the outcome of a fall, with its immediate pain and hurt, can remind us (or make us aware) of the things once assumed - even take for granted whether a physical part, emotional or spiritual aspect... And even as healing occurs, some hurt or pain may linger...as a reminder that Fall, a fall, or faltering is not without some permanent consequence or prevailing pain.
The season is changing again and, though I always enjoy the beauty of Fall, the trees and other life is budding and blooming - the promise that some dying always leads to life.
