A Time for Jail

"
I
hate life. As far as I can see, what happens on earth is a bad business..."
- Ecclesiastes 2
Within the family of For a Time & Season, "A Time for Jail" was inspired by the actual experience of jail. "Yes", I have gone to jail in an attempt to see my children; "no", I am not kidding...about trying to see my kids.
Going to jail was one of the most memorable experiences of my life (I think): first, there was a guy who claimed to the Christ; second, there was the uncertainty of what occurred next; and third, there was the hurt and humiliation of being carted-off from my employment and treated like a felon...for being a father. Realizing there is much detail left out, you might begin to understand by reading the posting by like name; even then however, you may still be puzzled...by the possibility.
If I had to go to jail for anything, some relief or respite comes in knowing it was for righteousness; that is, that the crime pinned on me was not because of what I did - but it was because of what "she said" (or says); and as I have painfully discovered in the matter of courts, the victim is always right - even if she is vindictive at the same time.
During my first stay in jail, I did not learn that much; but oh, since then, I have become a real student of the courts and their conduct. Stay on board...and perhaps you'll learn too.
